Air Fryer Crispy Roast Pork Belly - Sunlee cooking recipe

Ingredients

  • 1 slab about 3-4 pounds of pork belly.
  • 1 Tbsp of 5 spice powder
  • 1 Tbsp of onion powder
  • 1 Tbsp of garlic powder
  • 2 tablespoons of Sunlee soy sauce
  • 1.5 Tbsp of salt for the skin part
  • 1/2 tsp of ground pepper
  • 3 tsp of vinegar

Instructions

  • Wipe down the skin part with paper towels and press down on it to get as much water off as possible. Very important
  • Mix all the powder and pepper and soy sauce into a small bowl. Rub this around the meat side of the pork and a long the sides. Try not to get any on the skin.
  • Wipe down the skin again to remove any of the marinade then poke holes using a pointy knife or meat tenderizer. Very important.
  • Rub 3 tsp of salt on the skin part.
  • Wrap aluminum foil around the sides of the pork strip. Do not cover the skin
  • Place the pork in the fridge for 24 hours or longer. I put in fridge for 32 hours. Do not cover over with anything. This part is important
  • After 24 hours, take pork out. Wipe down skin again with a paper towel.
  • Brush vinegar over the skin.
  • Preheat air fryer at 285 F. Place pork over a rack with a drip pan under to catch grease. Cook for 25 minutes.
  • Then air fryer at 400F for 25-30 minutes. Remove pork and let it rest for 15-20 minutes before cutting.

  • In a highball glass, muddle together mint leaves, juice from 1/4 lime and cream of coconut.
  • Fill glass with ice and add both types of rum
  • Top with a splash of soda water and stir with a cocktail spoon
  • Garnish with lime and mint.
